A Tale of Two Sketches

Standard

I love a good sketch to get a page done quickly and I have two to show you today.  First is this one from Stuck?!

Just perfect for these photos taken at Puddle Duck’s friend’s birthday party at an outdoor adventure centre.

The birthday girl’s father didn’t take much persuading to join in and try the log bridge.  Puddle Duck was less success and her photos are on a LO on my workdesk – waiting to be stuck down.

The other sketch is this gorgeous one from Blue Fern Studies, which I decided to use for one of the challenges on The Counterfeit Kit Challenge – to take inspiration from a piece of jewellery.

Puddle Duck bought this owl watch pendant at Belbroughton Scarecrow festival last month.

The wings close over the watch face and are opened by squeezing the ears together.  And it inspired me to use photos of Siobhan with the owls at Mary Arden’s Farm in Stratford.

The swirls in the sketch made me think of curls of twine, which is what I did.  I added in a few extras to my Counterfeit kit – some brads, a butterfly, washi tape, a rub on owl and a border sticker from My Mind’s Eye.  It’s very different to my usual scrapping style but I think I like it.
