Oh the Places We’ll Go

Standard

June has been such a busy month, we have two birthdays and Father’s Day, but this year is also Puddle Duck’s Confirmation and her last year at Primary School, with The Virgin Money Fiver Challenge and the school play to rehearse for.  It’s been pretty hectic but with her doing extra rehearsals for her show in London next month I’ve had some time to scrap too. My first page uses the map paper from this month’s Counterfeit kit and a selfie of the two of us taken by Puddle Duck last month. As a rare page with me on it i am linking up with the Challenge Yourself blog, who’s only criteria this month is to use a photo with yourself in it. DSC_0543 I wanted the map paper to show through so I abandoned my usual style of large layers of pretty paper and went instead for a scattering of die-cuts.  With all those transportation die-cuts and journalling about our travels, this is perfect for Challenge 2 at CKC – even though I finished before the challenge went live.  I had intended it to be a bucket list of all the places we had been and wanted to go but somehow the LO didn’t seem to lend itself to a list.  Maybe I’ll do that as an accompanying 6X12 page. I originally started this based on Challenge 1, but my patterned paper die-cuts aren’t layered so I thought I would make some for this month’s forgery challenge: DSC_0545 I also forged the alphas from the original Basic Grey South Pacific kit to make a simple Father’s Day card. DSC_0547 Make sure to join in the CKC members’ blog hop on 24 June to see those embellishments on a page.

  1. I love the idea of a 6×12 page to go along with it – it’s ages since I did one of those (brain ticking now!) Great forgeries and super card!

  2. Love, love, love this page! And your pic is adorable! Thanks for joining our challenge this month @ Challenge Yourself!
