Painting with Jellie Bee

Standard

Morgan, aka Jellie Bee, is Strawberry’s favourite artist so she jumped at the chance of a watercolour class with her.

We set off super early because I was worried about traffic on the M6. We arrived in Lytham St Anne’s in plenty of time and easily found R Tilly’s where the class was to be held. With plenty of time to kill we found the Quirky Tea Rooms for a second breakfast of cake.

I decided to use a pocket page for the photos of the tea room. And with no people it fits The Studio Challenge to create a page with no people. Apologies for the glare on the photo.

Strawberry had a great time drawing and painting Amethyst from Steven Universe with Jellie. Everyone else had cancelled so she had a one to one session with her.  I used the latest Stuck?! sketch to scrap the photo of Jellie and Strawberry.  You can’t see her bow very well but it is a large aqua polka dot like the main pattern on the page.

The plain white card stock looked too bare, so Strawberry mixed some ink and water colour paint to the right colour and I added it behind the photo – including some extra splatters for good measure.

After the lesson it was time for afternoon tea at Alice’s Tea Rooms. Those photos will be the other side of the pocket page – once I’ve remembered where I put my Alice themed cards………….
