Purple Reign

Standard

It’s been a very busy month.  I’ve been so busy scrapping Disney photos that I haven’t had chance to blog.  I signed up to Shimelle’s Magical Scrapbooking course and I’ve been trying to get my albums from our four Disney trips in order.  I’ve ordered two lots of prints and lost the packet of photos I already had printed from last Christmas in Disneyland Paris.

There’s too many photos to try and cram into one blog post, so I’ll start with a couple from our first Disney trip, way back in 2006.  These both use purple (not a colour I use often in my pages), which is this month’s challenge at Another Freakin’ Scrappy Challenge.

I know it looks more pink in the photo, but I promise that the large mat is a pale purple.  the top left photo is matted on pink card stock because it holds a secret: It is the top photo in an accordion fold, showing the parade coming up Main Street towards us.

I’m not sure if you can see, but the pink card is a perfect match for pink glow where the sunlight crosses the street. Flip it over and there is another parade photo and space for some journalling:I really struggled with this page and I’m not sure I am entirely happy with it now.  Hopefully it will grow on me.

I had another sheet of card stock in a similar shade of purple so I decided to use that as the base for my final page, using the last photo we took before going home.

I need to add some journalling and I think I’ll go back and add some more embellishment when I do a final flick through of the album.

That’s it for now.  Hope to be back soon with more Magical scrapbooking – including my September Counterfeit kit, my first page with a 12X8 photo and something from Strawberry.  Until then keep scrapping!
